Morning: A wander round Reykjavik

Start your day in the charming city centre of Reykjavík. Wind your way through the streets of brightly painted houses set against a backdrop of snow-topped mountains, followed by visits to the harbour, the igloo-shaped Ásmundur Sculpture museum and the architectural splendour of the Hallgrímskirkja church, one of the tallest buildings in Iceland at nearly 75 metres high.


Lunch: A three-course work of art

Restaurant Gallery is Iceland’s most distinguished restaurant. The superb cuisine is inspired by French culinary tradition with a Nordic twist. So you could sit down to pan-fried Arctic char with saffron-spiced celery and terrine of deer with pickled Icelandic mushrooms. Situated in Hotel Holt, a small intimate first class hotel located in the heart of Reykjavik where the walls boast a fine display of Icelandic art.
